WHY can't you provide software that doesn't cause this issue? If I can not resolve this problem with our Mavics we will have to look at other manufactures. Company policy forbids taking the steps you suggest because of corporate security concerns.  Let me count the ways this is unacceptable.  After the installation, you can revert it back to normal.
